In the Towerrunning Tour  2025 we had a record 38 stair races in 19 different countries. Here is the ranking after the already traditional season end at Shanghai Tower: https://www.towerrunning.com/ranking/

For the first time in our history Japan took the title as the country whose athletes collected the most points over the year. Compared to 2024 7 nations held  the Top 10 status. Croatia finished there for the first time, Austria and USA are in again.

She surprised us at the Shanghai Final 2024, this year after a nearly perfect season Croatia’s Tea Faber crowned her as Towerrunning Tour Champion 2025. In the Top 10 we have 5 European and 5 Asian athletes, 7  defended this spot compared to last season. Besides Tea the Taiwanese Jui Chuan Chao and Iwona Wicha (again) from Poland are the newcomers there.

Reigning World Champion Wai Ching Soh from Malaysia regained the Tour trophy in the continuing Asian duel from Japan’s Ryoji Watanabe. Statistically interesting is the fact that compared to 2024 9 athletes are in the Top10 again and the only “newcomer” Klaus Hausleitner from Austria regained this status after 10 years !

Looking into the future we look forward January with a very strong field at the 200 race at Shenzhen’s PingAn and a new European 120 in Barcelona. Many athletes have already done, here is a little reminder to renew the TWA-registratiion for 2026 !

Finally a different topic. Our website has not changed since its launch in 2018. After 7 years it is time for at least a small redesign next year. Perhaps in the coming holiday season you will find some time to think about eventual improvements we can discuss with our development team ….
