For the first time in the world, thyssenkrupp has built a test tower with a total height of 246 meters, located in Rottweil, Germany. The tower offers the best prerequisites for future-oriented research and development. The company tests and certifies elevator solutions of tomorrow. From the MULTI, the world’s first ropeless, horizontally moving elevator, to high-speed elevators that race up in 18 meters per second. The building was finished by the end of 2017.
On 16th of September 2018, the first thyssenkrupp towerrun in South-Germany is scheduled. The competition includes 1390 steps and 232 meters in altitude. Pulsschlag, who organized successfully the towerrun event at the Kölnturm over the last few years, made this event possible.
On race day, different race modes are possible: single sprint, relay race, team run and firefighter race.
